Operation Vengeance is commemorated on this tee with an illustration of a P-38 Lightning on a rising sun background along with the date and coordinates the operation occurred. The mission was to kill Imperial Japan’s highest in command Navy Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. He designed and orchestrated the Pearl Harbor attacked on 7 December 1941.
